Glass on Glass – Photo Exhibition on the 105th Anniversary of the Železný Brod Glass School

This year’s 105th anniversary of the Železný Brod Glass School provided a welcome opportunity to look back at its rich history and recall the fascinating pre-war period of its existence. The exhibition also offered visitors a unique chance to encounter materials that had until then remained hidden away in the museum depository or in the school principal’s archive, and had never before been presented on such a scale.

The display featured rare photographic documentation of the school’s achievements from the mid-1920s through the late 1940s. Thanks to a collection of nearly one thousand preserved glass negatives and carefully restored positives, visitors were able to view the school’s activities from a fresh and illuminating perspective.

The exhibition opened on 5 September at 5 p.m.
