New Publications from the Municipal Museum in Železný Brod!

Discover the stories of places we pass by every day – yet often know so little about. The Municipal Museum has just published two new books that explore the history of the city and its iconic buildings.

David Řeřicha: Hotel Cristal
Discover more than eighty years of history of one of Železný Brod’s most distinctive buildings. The book presents the origin and transformations of Hotel Cristal, its social role, and the current state of the building, which has been awaiting its next chapter for years. It also includes numerous historical and contemporary photographs.

Tomáš Kesner, David Řeřicha: Vaněčkova Street and Jiráskovo Embankment
This publication showcases the development and major architectural changes of the city districts from the late 19th century to the construction of two panel housing estates. It offers photographs and urban plans that help to understand how these parts of the city evolved and why they look the way they do today.

Both books are complemented by unique visual materials and serve as an excellent guide for anyone who wants to learn more about the history of their hometown.
