Lecture series “Between Occupation and Everyday Life: Železný Brod 1938–1945”

We cordially invite you to lectures from the series “Between Occupation and Everyday Life: Železný Brod 1938–1945”, which will offer an insight into the lives of the inhabitants of our town during the war years. The lectures are based on period photographs, documents, decrees, and posters, supplemented by the memories of witnesses.

Due to the scope of the topic, the series is divided into two separate lectures. The first focuses on the economy, rationing system, and construction activities. The second lecture is dedicated to cultural life, especially theatre, cinema, and sport, and shows how people maintained their social and cultural life even in difficult times.
