As part of the Glass Town glass craft festival, the opening of the results of the 14th Summer Glass Workshop 2025 symposium will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the glass exhibition of the Municipal Museum in Železný Brod. The program will also include a guided tour of the exhibition, which will begin at 1:00 p.m.

The opening will feature works created in the glassworks of the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Glass, by artists Jana Válková-Střílková, Renata Šikolová, Jaroslav Bukovský, and Pavel Kopřiva. A piece designed by Eva Vlčková and produced by the company Detesk will also be presented. Admission to the glass exhibition is free throughout the festival.

In parallel with Glass Town, the European Heritage Days will also take place, during which visitors can enjoy free entry to the ethnographic exhibition of the Běliště Museum.

We warmly invite you to the Folk Architecture Days, which will take place on July 19–20 at the Běliště ethnographic exhibition. The program will include demonstrations of traditional crafts, games, and creative activities. 

Ve čtvrtek 10. dubna se v reprezentativních prostorách Národního domu na Vinohradech uskutečnil slavnostní galavečer Fondů EHP a Norska, který symbolicky zakončil třetí programové období (2014–2021) tohoto mezinárodního dotačního nástroje. Večer s mottem „Úspěchy, které spojují“ byl nejen příležitostí k bilancování, ale také oslavou výjimečných projektů a mezinárodní spolupráce. Slavnostního večera se zúčastnili zástupci institucí, realizátoři projektů i zahraniční partneři.
Za uplynulé třetí období bylo v České republice podpořeno celkem 848 projektů napříč deseti tematickými programy – od kultury, přes vzdělávání, vědu a výzkum, až po životní prostředí.
Ocenění a poděkování si během večera převzali zástupci šestnácti vybraných projektů, které byly vyzdvihnuty pro svou kvalitu, přínos a inspirativní přesah. Mezi nimi nechyběl ani projekt Spojeno sklem!, jenž reprezentoval nejen město, ale i tradiční české sklářství ve velmi silné konkurenci.

The Železný Brod Municipal Museum has invited a total of five artists to participate. They will bring their visions to life in the hot shop of the local glass school and at the Detesk company.
