We strive to tailor the museum’s opening hours to the needs of our visitors. However, we also accept groups outside opening hours. Please call 483 389 081 to make arrangements. We are a museum for the general public. We develop programmes that parents with children will appreciate, we cater to students, pupils and the very young. The museum belongs to children too. Are you interested in getting involved and creating a museum with us? You might have an interesting item in your home collection that you may not know about. Your old photographs could be important for the heritage of the Železný Brod region. You are welcome to come to the museum to talk to us about the old days in Železný Brod and the surrounding area, or we can visit you.

In our museum shops, you can choose from a wide range of regional products as well as popular educational books. Both shops also offer items bearing the “Regional Product of Bohemian Paradise” label, which guarantees the origin and quality of local craftsmanship. The shop located within the glass exhibition features a broad selection of glass products made by local artisans. You will find delicate glass figurines as well as larger hand-shaped pieces. The assortment also includes glass jewelry, pendants, and beads in various styles and sizes—perfect as unique souvenirs or gifts. 

The shop in the ethnographic exhibition focuses mainly on traditional handcrafted products. The selection includes both functional and decorative ceramics, wooden and textile toys, textiles, and traditional “blessing” decorations. A standard range of tourist items is also available, such as collector badges, tourist tokens, magnets, and postcards.
