Folk Architecture Days 2025

We warmly invite you to the Folk Architecture Days, which will take place on July 19–20 at the Běliště ethnographic exhibition. The program will include demonstrations of traditional crafts, games, and creative activities. 

Vlastimila Konrádová will present the history of wool processing. Under her guidance, children and adults can try dry needle felting. Věra Poláková will demonstrate the beauty of handmade bobbin lace. Jiří Šebesta will take you into the mysterious world of intuitive games made of wood, metal, stone, or cotton. Sunday afternoon will be marked by "pimprlení" with Lenka Hřibová, with whom children will be able to make their own puppet.

You can also visit the nearby Mini-museum of glass nativity scenes.

In case of good weather, there will be seating available in the Běliště garden throughout the weekend, including the possibility of refreshments.

The weekend will culminate with the traditional music and street theatre festival Trávnický futrál, which will take place in the beautiful surroundings of the timbered buildings in the Trávníky monument reserve.

Improvised songs and flute melodies.

Each performance will last approximately 45 minutes, so there's no need to rush – you'll have plenty of time to move between venues at a relaxed pace.
